Last year, Krieg & Fischer Ingenieure received orders for the construction of industrial biomethan plants with a total capacity of 120 MW. The orders include the design, construction management and commissioning of the biomethane plants. For K&F team, it is the largest increase in orders since our foundation almost three decades ago.
The biomethane plants are characterized not only by their size, but also, by their innovative technologies. They exclusively utilize organic residues from the industrial processing of agricultural substrates. With a processing capacity of 20,000 Nm³/h biogas, these plants can feed a significant amount of biomethane into the grid every year. This will contribute to energy security for our clients while meeting their goals in CO2 reduction and environmental protection. Some projects include CO2 liquefaction, so plant owners will valorise biogenic CO2 as additional income stream and practically operate their plants with no emissions and no losses.
Managing Director Raphael Thies sums it up: "This success is a milestone for our company and proof of the trust placed in our ability to respond to the needs of industry with innovative solutions. (...) With our expertise and customised technology, we can also serve large industries with complex requirements that are moving towards a future independent of fossil fuels."
We are proud to be travelling this path together with our partners and look forward to realising these pioneering projects.
