More than 40 partners from business, academia, municipalities, and associations are working together to pave the way for the planned "Hydrogen Region Southern Lower Saxony," and we have proudly been part of this initiative since May 2021. The idea was born under the umbrella of the SüdniedersachsenStiftung, which, in collaboration with ELO Mobility GmbH and the Smart Mobility Research Group at the University of Göttingen, launched one of the first projects in this field: "ViridisH2 Southern Lower Saxony" (www.viridish2-sns.de).
The goal of the project is to enable a sustainable structural transformation in the region through a green hydrogen value chain. This aims to strengthen sustainable mobility in Southern Lower Saxony and contribute to achieving climate targets. After all, making a (green) hydrogen economy visible and established is a forward-looking project. It not only enhances the Southern Lower Saxony region but also improves public acceptance of the green energy transition on a regional scale.
These goals resonate with us, and we are eager to take an active role in achieving them. Since May 2021, we are proud members of this alliance and look forward to advancing this endeavour with the support of this strong network.
