Driving the Hydrogen Future: Krieg & Fischer Ingenieure Supports the 100 MW Green Hydrogen Project “HyTechHafen Rostock”

Krieg & Fischer is pleased to announce its participation in the innovative “HyTechHafen Rostock” project – a pioneering initiative for the climate-neutral production of green hydrogen in the port of Rostock. The project is being funded as an IPCEI (Important Projects of Common European Interest) project. Developer and operator is rostock EnergyPort cooperation GmbH (REPCO). On behalf of Dornier Power and Heat GmbH, the general planner, K&F is supporting the preparation of the permit application and the permit planning for this significant infrastructure project.

The “HyTechHafen Rostock” project sets new standards for the energy transition in northern Germany. The aim is to construct an electrolysis plant with a capacity of 100 megawatts that produces green hydrogen from renewable energies. This hydrogen will be fed into the emerging supraregional hydrogen pipeline network and made available to local consumers via a trailer station. The project is expected to contribute significantly to reducing CO2 emissions. In addition to climate protection, the project will also help reduce energy imports and thus increase security of supply.

As an experienced planning office with expertise in complex approval procedures, Krieg & Fischer Ingenieure GmbH contributes its specialist knowledge in the areas of environmental law, technical planning, and communication with authorities. Our services include the coordination and compilation of approval documents in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG).

We are proud to be part of this groundbreaking project, which is making an important contribution to decarbonization and sustainable energy supply.
